Product Description1.The sonic nozzle method gas flow standard device is a gas flow standard device (negative pressure method) with a critical flow venturi nozzle as the main standard device.

4 The device can be used to detect various calibers and various forms of gas flow meters. Working principal
The device uses a venturi sonic nozzle as a standard device. The venturi sonic nozzle has the following advantages:simple
structure, stable performance, high accuracy,no moving parts,convenient maintenance,long verification period(five years),etc
During operation, the gas flow throughout the entire experimental pipeline is achieved through the suction of a vacuum pump. The air passes through a filter, left and right meter switching system, enters the meter under test, then enters the buffer container through the sonic nozzle and control valve, and finally is exhausted into the atmosphere via an oil-free vacuum pump. When the gas passing through the sonic nozzle reaches the critical state, the mass flow rate through the meter under test and the nozzle remains constant. Therefore, the flow rate through the sonic nozzle is determined for a duration of time, while the system receives signals from the gas meter sampling, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, and humidity sensor. Automatic corrections are made to account for temperature, pressure, and humidity factors, providing the measurement error of the gas meter under test.
Feature of this device
- The proposed power system utilizes a combination of large and small vacuum pump sets as the power source, paired with a frequency converter for automatic regulation. This combination ensures that nozzles with different flow rates have sufficient back pressure ratios, effectively saving energy and reducing noise pollution.
- The surge tanks are designed in a combination of large and small sizes. The small tank is equipped with nozzles below 8m³/h, while the
- large tank is configured for nozzles above 8m³/h. Each surge tank is equipped with temperature and pressure sensors, connected to dedicated detection pipelines. This setup improves the accuracy of small flow rate measurements.
- Each detection pipeline is equipped with an analog signal reception module, which converts the signals to digital format and transmits them to the upper computer via a 485 interface. Compared to traditional long-distance transmission of analog signals, this method enhances signal anti-interference capability and system accuracy.
- The system can receive various signals such as current, voltage, and pulses in real-time. It can also employ dynamic image processors or optoelectronic samplers to achieve dynamic metering by automatically sampling the meters under test.
- Every detection pipeline is equipped with a touch-sensitive LCD display, enabling the start of the testing program through touch operation after the meter under test is installed. This saves labor for the testing personnel and improves efficiency.
- The computer software utilizes methods such as piecewise linear interpolation, parabolic interpolation, and input of calibration points to perform error correction on all temperature, pressure, and humidity transmitters. This ensures a more accurate and reliable system.
- Standard devices employed in this system use Venturi nozzles. The computer automatically selects the optimal nozzle combination based on the flow rate of the meter under test.
- For automatic control, a single-chip microcomputer and high-precision A/D converter technology are utilized. They automatically detect parameters such as pressure, temperature, and humidity, participating in real-time error correction calculations to ensure the accuracy of the device.
- The meter number can be input using a Symbol laser barcode scanner, which automatically scans and inputs the factory serial number of the gas meter (keyboard input is also possible).
- The computer control software enables full automation of the entire system during testing. The testing software features a clear and aesthetically pleasing interface, user-friendly operation, and the ability to dynamically connect with Excel software for easy and rapid completion of test reports. It also includes functions for data storage, certificate printing, analysis, and statistics.
- All pneumatic components are sourced from Taiwanese brands like Yadeke and Japanese brand SMC. The sensors used are from internationally renowned brands.
